PEF Awards Record-Breaking Scholarships to Class of 2026

On March 25, the Petaluma Educational Foundation hosted its annual Scholarship Awards Reception at Casa Grande High School Gym, bringing together graduating seniors from all Petaluma-area high schools, along with their families, donors, and community leaders for an inspiring evening celebrating what’s ahead.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, PEF awarded a record-breaking $348,000 in scholarships, supporting 315 students through 513 individual scholarships from more than 100 donor-funded scholarship funds. These awards will help students pursue their education at 2-year colleges, 4-year universities, and vocational or trade programs.

Students from across Petaluma’s high schools, including Petaluma High, Casa Grande High, St. Vincent, San Antonio, Sonoma Mountain, Carpe Diem, Valley Oaks, and Headwaters Academy were represented, highlighting PEF’s commitment to supporting all students across our community.

The evening was attended by local leaders, including Petaluma Mayor Kevin McDonnell, school board members, and PEF’s board and staff, all coming together to celebrate the achievements of these students and the impact of this program.

PEF is proud to administer these scholarship funds on behalf of generous donors who establish criteria to support students in meaningful and lasting ways. Since 1990, PEF has awarded more than $5.4 million in scholarships, and over $10.8 million in total funding through its grant and scholarship programs, directly supporting students and classrooms across Petaluma.

The Scholarship Awards Reception continues to be a highlight of the year, offering a chance to connect donors with students and celebrate the future of our community, one student at a time.
