PEF Board & Staff Retreat Focuses on “Back to Basics”
Last week, the Petaluma Educational Foundation held its annual Board & Staff Retreat, bringing together dedicated volunteers and team members for a day of reflection, connection, and planning.
Guided by a “Back to Basics” theme, the retreat focused on honoring PEF’s history, celebrating the vision that launched the organization, and ensuring the mission continues to move forward to the next level.
PEF is fortunate to be led by a board and staff made up of deeply committed community members who care passionately about the mission of PEF. The retreat provided valuable time to step back from day-to-day work, strengthen relationships, and align around shared goals for the future.
A special highlight of the day was hearing from alumni board and staff members Mike Tomasini, Janet Ramatici, Sally Foley, and Carol Ann Libarle. Their reflections on PEF’s early years offered meaningful perspective on how the organization was built and how its mission has grown over time. Their dedication and vision continue to guide PEF’s work today.
The Foundation extends its sincere thanks to Seared for generously hosting the retreat and providing a welcoming space for thoughtful discussion and collaboration.
As PEF moves ahead with renewed energy and purpose, the organization remains focused on its core mission of supporting all Petaluma students and schools through grants, scholarships, and programs that expand educational opportunities.
Community members interested in becoming more involved or learning about serving on the PEF Board are encouraged to connect with the Foundation.
