Recess: Success is in Session!

  • Scholarship Reception: The 2025 PEF Scholarship Awards Reception will take place on Wednesday, April 16th, starting promptly at 7:00 p.m. We will host the event at the Petaluma High School Gym this year. Together, we positively impact generations of local students who wish to further their education at 2-year colleges, 4-year colleges, or vocational programs after graduation from high school.

  • College & Career Conversation: We are filming a conversation with Elias Carreno from Santa Rosa Junior College (Petaluma Campus) and Cyndi Niendorf, a Certified College Counselor, on the variety of paths young adults can embark on following graduation. We will share the informative video on our website's social media platforms later this month!
  • PEF's Business Breakfast Club: A special session for financial planners, accountants, and attorneys to gather for a light breakfast and gain relevant information on current industry trends from their peers. Our first breakfast takes place on Friday, April 25th, from 8:30 -9:30 a.m. at Cafe Bellini (100 S. McDowell, Petaluma) Want to receive an invite? Contact us with your information.

April is Student Financial Literacy Month, and we’re excited to offer you Exchange Bank’s educational game to bring an engaging budgeting activity to your classrooms!

The Bean Game is a hands-on exercise where students “spend” a 20-bean salary, making real-world financial choices about housing, food, transportation, and more. This activity builds money management skills and fosters confidence in financial decision-making. It’s perfect for middle schoolers and aligns with National Teach Kids to Save Day on April 27!
