Welcome to the inaugural PEF newsletter! Every quarter, we will share resources for schools, deadlines for PEF grant and scholarship programs, recaps of what we’ve been up to, special events, and more. And, of course, we will highlight activities at our Alphabet Soup Thrift Stores, where proceeds benefit the mission of PEF, supporting our local students and schools.

Sadly, PEF received news that we will no longer have our current office space as of June 30th. Please help us find a new home! Information about what we require in a new space is at the end of the newsletter.

Here’s what’s happening this spring:
- March 14th: Join us at the PEF Principals Mixer to discuss updates to the PEF Impact Grant application.
- March 27th: We’re hosting a PEF Pop-Up Community Mixer at La Dolce Vita in downtown Theater Square.
- April 17th: Celebrate the Class of 2024 at our annual PEF Scholarship Reception.

To all you educators: The 2024-2025 PEF Impact Grant applications are due October 2, 2024. Educators should be thinking now about what empowering educational and extracurricular programs they want to bring to their schools. Join us at the Principals Mixer on March 14th to learn about the exciting changes to our grant program.

Alphabet Soup Turns 30!
Can you believe that Alphabet Soup is turning 30 in March?! That means Alphabet Stores has been the paradigm of reuse-repurpose-recycle for three decades! Stay tuned for more information on how we plan to celebrate...
The two downtown thrift stores support the mission of PEF, benefiting all 35 local TK-12th grade public, private, and charter schools in our network. We depend on the dedication of our volunteers to assist with store operations and offer a convenient place for donors to share items they no longer need.

Help PEF Find a New Home
PEF will no longer have its current office space as of June 30th. We are actively searching for a new location and would appreciate your help!
Here’s what we need:
- Square footage: Approximately 1,000 sq. ft.
- Location: Petaluma, preferably downtown or near schools.
- Amenities: Accessible parking, office amenities, and space for meetings.
